Everything it does

Thoughtful reminders that respect your flow.

EyeRest Flow watches the clock so you don't have to — and knows when not to interrupt.

Smart break reminders

Set your focus interval from 15 to 60 minutes. A gentle break screen invites you to look away and reset.

Guided break activities

Distance gazing, blinking, stretching, and breathing prompts keep breaks purposeful — not just paused.

Smart timing

Waits for a quiet moment, holds back during full-screen videos and presentations, and treats time away as a natural break.

Heads-up notice

A small, unobtrusive banner gives you a warning before a break begins — so nothing ever catches you mid-thought.

Your pace, three ways

Choose Gentle, Balanced, or Strict — from a quiet nudge to a firm "time to rest."

Working hours

Tell EyeRest Flow which days and hours you work. It stays silent on your own time.

Long breaks & streaks

Longer movement breaks at intervals you choose, plus completed-break stats and a daily streak to keep momentum.

Snooze & pause

Not now? Snooze a break or pause reminders for 30 minutes, an hour, or until tomorrow — one click away.

Reduce motion

Prefer stillness? Turn off animations entirely for an even calmer experience.

The break screen

A gentle moment, not an interruption.

When it's time, a soft full-screen invitation appears. Look to the distance, breathe, stretch — then pick up right where you left off.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

What is the 20-20-20 rule?

Every 20 minutes, look at something about 20 feet away for 20 seconds. It's a simple, eye-doctor-recommended way to reduce digital eye strain — and EyeRest Flow makes it effortless.

Will it interrupt me during a meeting or video?

No. Smart timing waits for a quiet moment and holds back while full-screen apps like video calls and presentations are active. You can fine-tune all of this in Settings.

Does it collect any of my data?

Never. Everything stays on your Mac — there are no accounts, analytics, or servers. Your settings and stats are stored locally and are yours alone.

Which Macs are supported?

Any Mac running macOS 13 Ventura or later, on both Apple Silicon and Intel. The app is tiny and lives quietly in your menu bar.

Is it safe to install?

Yes — EyeRest Flow is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens without security warnings.
