EyeRest Flow is designed to be a quiet wellness companion for macOS. It helps you take eye breaks without collecting personal data for advertising, tracking, or sale.
What EyeRest Flow Stores
EyeRest Flow stores your app preferences locally on your Mac, including reminder timing, break settings, appearance, language, working hours, and simple break statistics such as completed breaks, snoozes, and streak count.
This information is stored on your device so the app can remember your settings and show your progress.
What the macOS App Does Not Do
The macOS app does not sell your data.
The macOS app does not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
The macOS app does not upload your break history or settings to a server.
The macOS app does not read your documents, photos, messages, emails, browser history, or files for its core break reminder features.
Website Analytics
The EyeRest Flow website uses PostHog to measure page visits and clicks on the macOS download buttons. This helps us understand whether the website is useful and whether visitors can find the download.
Website analytics may include basic technical information such as browser and device type, approximate location, referring page, and pages visited. We do not use session replay, automatic interaction capture, or website analytics to collect data from the EyeRest Flow macOS app.
We do not send your name, email address, app settings, break history, or activity from the macOS app to PostHog.
macOS Permissions
macOS may show privacy prompts depending on where the app is run from or which system features are enabled.
If the app is launched from the Documents folder during development, macOS may ask for Documents access because the app itself is located there. EyeRest Flow does not need Documents access for normal use.
Some smart timing features may depend on macOS system signals, such as idle state, full-screen app state, or interaction state. These are used only to decide whether it is a respectful moment to show a break.
Notifications and Reminders
EyeRest Flow may use local notifications or in-app reminder banners to tell you when a break is coming. These reminders are generated on your Mac.
Calendar
Calendar-aware breaks are not currently connected. If calendar support is added in the future, the app should ask for permission first and explain what calendar information is used.
Data Control
You can reset EyeRest Flow settings from the Settings window. You can also remove app data by deleting EyeRest Flow's Application Support files from your Mac.
